Benefits Of Having A New Air Conditioner Installed

Blog

If you have an older model air conditioner, consider replacing it, even if it's not giving you problems yet. Not only does this help you avoid the problems that come as air conditioners near the end of their expected lifespan, but you can also enjoy the benefits that come with the newer models. This article will explain some of the technology that the newer air conditioning systems can offer.

Smart Home Integration: One of the best features new air conditioners come with is smart home integration. This feature allows the system to be connected to your home's smart system. Once installed, you can manage your home's temperature from your smart device. When you're coming home from work on a hot day, or returning from a hot day at the park with the kids, you can turn on the air conditioning, so your home's already cool for you when you get there. There is also a voice assistant feature that lets you monitor and control the AC without touching anything. You can ask the current temperature, then tell the system to turn on if you want your home cooler.

Digital Thermostats Help Offer More Consistent Temperatures: New models can come with digital thermostats. This matters because digital thermostats allow you to have better control over the exact temperature in your house. If you've ever found it hard to get the temperature just right because one setting seems too warm, while the other is a bit too cold, then you can imagine how helpful this can be.

Energy-Efficient Designs: Newer air conditioners draw less power than older models. They also have built-in features to help make them more energy-efficient. One example of these features is their variable speed fans, which allow a lower speed fan to be used when higher speeds aren't necessary for achieving the desired temperature. These types of technologies help you keep your home cooler for less cost.

Different Cooling Code Options: The new models of air conditioners can come with multiple settings. These can include auto, dry, fan, heat, and cool. This allows you to choose the mode that's right for your preferences on any given day. This means you can use your air conditioner in replacement of fans and a separate heating system.

Newer Models Are Designed for Quiet Operations: Older air conditioning systems can be so loud they're distracting and can even make it difficult to get to sleep. Newer models can be so quiet you may hardly notice when they come on. All the features that new air conditioners offer can make the installation of one a better option than trying to get all you can from your old one.

Cool off Your AC Bill

Every summer, I agonized over energy bills that would shoot into the stratosphere as a result of my efforts to keep cool in the heat. Every time I turned the temperature down, my bills increased. This summer, I decided to take some of the control over my energy bill back. I installed reflective film on my windows that reduced the amount of light and heat coming into the house. I started serving more cold meals or asking my husband to barbecue outside, so that my air conditioner didn't have to compete with the hot stove, and I started doing laundry at night to reduce appliance heat in the house at peak times. I also had ceiling fans installed. So far, the difference in my bill has been tremendous. This blog is a way for me to explore other ways to reduce energy drain during the summer months.
